How to spot a fake official site

Any site claiming to be an official portal while asking for your UAN, PAN, password or OTP is not one. Government portals do not request those by email or on a third-party page. SimpleDoc will never ask, because it has no login at all.

When you need to transact, type the official address yourself rather than following a link from a search advertisement. We link to official portals throughout, and those links are the only place any of your details should ever be entered.

Agents and fees

Most government services have a fixed, published fee. Agents quoting far more are charging for queue-standing and form-filling, not for access. Almost all of it can be done yourself online, which is what these guides are for.
